What is a DRI?
A digital passport and a permanent address for a scholarly work
A DRI identifies a publication once and for good: the link never changes, the metadata is checked and the record is kept openly in the national registry.

How does it work?
From metadata to a persistent link — four steps
Metadata is submitted
The institution sends the publication’s details through its cabinet or the API and confirms that they are correct.
The DRI is created
The system creates a unique, unchangeable identifier for a record that has passed validation.
It is published in the registry
The record is added to the national registry and its open bibliographic passport is created.
The link leads to the source
The DRI link leads to the publication’s original source or to its open passport.
