The platform operator and its responsibilities
The National DRI platform is run by the A. Avloniy National Institute of Pedagogical Excellence as its operator. This page sets out the organisation’s role, its duties and its official points of contact.
Mission
To ensure accurate, permanent and verified digital identification of the scholarly publications created in Uzbekistan, and to bring the finding, verifying and citing of research results under one national standard.
Duties
Setting the national requirements for issuing identifiers and for metadata quality.
Bringing institutions onto the platform through the official procedure and giving them methodological support.
Keeping the open registry and the resolver running without interruption.
Publishing aggregated open statistics and disclosing how they are calculated.
Handling reports of incorrect metadata and broken links.
The initiative’s national purpose
Visibility of research results
For local publications to be found nationally and internationally, one common identification is needed.
Data quality
One standard reduces duplication, inconsistencies and unclear authorship.
Long-term preservation
Records are not lost and stay open even when institutions’ websites change.
