Privacy policy
This document explains what data is collected when you use the National DRI public site and cabinet, and how it is used.

What follows is a description of what the system actually does. The binding policy is the operator's to approve; this page will be replaced when that text arrives.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the public pages of nationaldri.uz and to the kabinet.nationaldri.uz environment. Bibliographic metadata in the registry is open data and is not treated as confidential.
User accounts, email addresses and contract details are private and are not served through the public API.
PDF files are private by default, including through the public API and through direct links. An individual file may be made public once the legal basis has been documented.
2. Data collected
Through request forms
Name, organisation, position, email, telephone and the text of your message — only as much as you enter.
Technical data
Request time, browser type and aggregated usage statistics — to keep the service running reliably.
Cabinet users
Account details and a log of actions in the system — to establish responsibility for metadata changes.
Resolution counting
When an identifier is opened, the transition is recorded: the date, which identifier, and a one-way hashed marker used to recognise repeats. The IP address is not stored in the clear.
3. Purpose of use
Data is used to answer enquiries, review applications, monitor the stability of the service and improve the quality of the registry. It is not used for advertising.
4. Retention period
Enquiry data is kept for the period set by the records-management rules. Technical logs are kept in aggregated form and deleted when that period ends. Open metadata in the registry is kept indefinitely.
5. Disclosure to third parties
Personal data is not sold and is not passed to third parties for commercial purposes. It is disclosed only where the law provides for it, or to the relevant organisation to the extent needed to handle an enquiry.
The registry uses no advertising networks and no external analytics services.
6. User rights
You may ask for the data about you to be corrected or for its processing to be restricted. Requests are sent through the official channel on the contact page.
A publication's metadata (author names, institution, source) is published openly for scholarly use, and a request to remove it from the registry does not mean the identifier is cancelled.
